Pre-Tasks for Kick-off Meeting

In this pre-assigment we ask you to produce local scripts for the course prototype. The prototype will be developed during the kick-off day.

Please note that the prototype covers content of Introduction to the course AND one waste type.

Choose your prioritized waste type for this assignment based on your scope. Utilize the scripts created in Helsinki as base of your own local version. Translate them and fine-tune if needed.

Steps included in this pre-assignment:

1. Localize Introduction / Welcome texts to course (to be used as welcome words of coach avatar)
2. Localize texts for chosen waste type including 1) Introduction (Course Presentation), 2) Recycling Challenge (Game Map), and 3) Application (Course Presentation).
3. Create a shared folder (e.g. Teams channel etc). for this project and share it with your team members. In the future, please use this folder to save and share all materials regarding the project.

In this pre-assigment we ask you to collect suitable images and links to be used in the prototype (scripts done in previous task).

1. Collect images or illustrations that you could use to visualize content in the prototype (chosen one waste type) and upload them to your shared folder. Choose only images that you have right to use. If you are familiar with producing images with AI, feel free to use it (we will also exercise AI in the kick-off day).
2. You can utilize images / illustrations from the original Helsinki course or create your own ones. You can find content library here. E.g. single waste images are included in the Learning session templates.
3. Recycling challenge is done on map. Get an image about map that you wish to use in your prototype. In original course we used the maps of Helsinki and located activities around the city. You can get the map images e.g. by taking screenshots from Google Maps or Open Street Map -services.

In this pre-assigment we ask you to collect suitable existing materials to be used in the prototype.

1. Collect 2-5 links, that you can use as part of your script.

Having access to the YouTube account will allow us to practice video uploading, sharing and embedding within the Moodle platform.

Before our kick-off meeting, please check that you have the login credentials  for your project's YouTube account or create a new account for this project if one does not yet exist.

Additionally, check the channel permissions to ensure that the necessary team members have the appropriate access to manage and upload videos.
